Va Va VELVET

I can't believe I made it through 2018. Life threw me some curveballs but it's ending with a bang. As the holidays approached, I decided that the 6th dinner (OMG) would and should be co-ed. The boys had been begging to participate from the beginning and this theme was the perfect opportunity. Behold: Va Va Velvet!

I chose Tiny's No. 5 from a suggestion by a friend. She mentioned a cute restaurant she has visited and one trip to the website left me awestruck. The private room was a VISION online. It surpassed my expectations in person. Two words: RUSTIC CHIC. Normally, I would roll my eyes at that description. The room was magnificently appointed complete with a Christmas tree. I always add a little spice to the table settings. Tiny's knocked it out of the park. Booking was a breeze and I felt welcomed from the moment I arrived.

Appetizers Rating: 10/10

HOUSE FRIES - hot. salty. crispy. potatoey. GOODNESS! FRIED GREEN TOMATOES - tempura-fried green tomatoes, lemon jalapeño ranch. A delightful divergence from the expected cornmeal crust. Tender and flavorful.

WOOD OVEN ARTICHOKES - artichokes, herb butter, garden chimmi.... et voila!

Next up..... ENTREES! Tiny's boasts an extensive and varied menu with each dish sounding more delectable than the one before. Guests selected whatever suited their fancy that night and none were disappointed.
