As far as seasons go, spring is just and appetizer for my favorite season. I'm generally in transition personally during spring and this year the word BLOOM kept ricocheting through my head.
BLOOM:
verb
1.
produce flowers; be in flower.
"a rose tree bloomed on a ruined wall"
synonyms:blossom, flower, be in blossom/flower, come into flower/blossom, open, open out, bud, sprout, burgeon, mature
"the geraniums had already bloomed"
The act of blooming is the final, beautiful stage of flowering plants. The hard work has been done and NOW I can show off. Presenting Floral Fab: Baddies in Bloom:
The Grove was the obvious choice for dinner. The outdoor space, the delectable menu, the WINE! I couldn't wait to try this locale.
FULL DISCLOSURE: I stumbled across this restaurant when researching unique wedding venues. Shhhhhh!
Now, on to the food:
APPETIZER: 10/10
BREAD & BUTTER: house rolls, whipped butter with thyme, black sea salt, garlic oil
Who hates bread and butter? NOBODY! This iteration came to the table hot and fresh. The whipped butter was a standout with the textural addition of the coarse black sea salt.

Entrees: 9/10
CHICKEN TORTILLA
tomato-chile broth, avocado, queso fresco, charred onion-chile paste, lime
"CRAB BOILED" POTATOES- cajun seasoned, boiled red potatoes
SWEET POTATO & KALE ENCHILADAS
black lentils, queso oaxaca, red chile sauce, cabbage slaw
ROASTED CHICKEN
seasonal vegetables, garlic, thyme, preserved lemon
SHRIMP PASTA PRIMAVERA
fettuccine, fava bean, chervil, white wine, parmigiano, lemon
Now, the LOOKS. Ladies gave proper A Rose Is Still A Rose vibes, ok?!
